The word geometry literally means ‘measurement of the earth’. It is derived from the words geo, meaning ‘earth and metron, meaning ‘measurement’.
The sacred part refers to the fact that we find the same geometric proportions, ratios and measurements everywhere in creation, whether it be organic life, music, language, art, and even the cosmos itself. At the very core all building blocks are the same, following the same rules, repeating the same patterns. The micro cosmos of an atom exists under the same laws as the macro cosmos in which our planets revolve. Everything is fractal. Even you are geometry at the core level: your cellular and atomic structure, and your DNA.
Flower Of Life
The Flower of Life is a geometric shape that is recognized by many cultures all over the planet. It consist of 13 equal circles that intersect at the middle of each circle, creating a beautiful and perfectly proportioned flower. As a symbol the Flower of Life is considered to represent the Universe as a whole, as well as the harmony in which all the separate components work together. This beautiful pattern is found all over the world and is often used to indicate our understanding of our connection to the whole.
When connecting all the centers of all the circles in the Flower of Life, another scared geometric pattern emerges known as Metatron’s Cube. It is believed that within this shape all laws and patterns for creation can be found, as well as all Platonic Solids.
Named after the philosopher Plato, Platonic Solids are characterized by the fact that each face is a regular polygon, a straight-sided figure with equal sides and equal angles. They are associated with the five elements of Fire (Tetrahedron), Earth (cube), Air (Octahedron), Spirit (Dodecahedron) and Water (Icosahedron). Plato considered them to be the fundamental building blocks of nature and in larger, the Universe.
Sacred Geometry and LON Art
Through my fascination with cropcircles and my research of them, I naturally came across the topic of sacred geometry. I instantly loved everything about it, and I deeply understood the connection between sacred geometry and everything in Creation. I felt I had stumbled upon a deep hidden secret, a treasure of immense value, and it was right under our noses! I started reading everything I could get my hands (and eyes) on, to expand my knowledge and understanding. I started creating designs based on sacred geometry and explore the feelings that the variety of shape, form and color evoked in me. By applying my discoveries to the way I was perceiving my world and my reality I noticed that it brought peace and harmony to my life. When I discovered that I could use sacred geometry to express someone’s soul, and that in return people felt deeply moved by those creations and reported profound impact in their lives, LON Art was born.
I found that sacred geometry design can inspire, motivate, touch and activate to create a life the way we really want.
